I just wanted to check with you all and see if you can shed some light on some of the questions that I have.
I worked in Canada on NOC Code 2171 Information systems analysts and consultants) for 9 years and my application for PR is under processing at CPC Ottawa (under CEC). My work permit expired in August last year and it was not renewed because of some unforeseen circumstances. Now I am looking for any openings with any employer who will be interested in hiring me and go through the work permit process.
My questions are:
1. Keeping in mind the changes they brought to the work permit process, how likely is that my application will get approved for NOC 2171.
2. And companies that are wiling to hire a foreign national for the first time also have to go through the minimum advertisement requirement?
