Dear all,

Please clarify the below:

Confirmation to work off campus

As of February 2, 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is no longer issuing confirmation to work off campus documents. If you were previously issued a confirmation to work off campus document by CIC, you may continue to present it to Service Canada in order to apply for a SIN.

:o

this is already stated to CIC, so this is already implemented

this is a good news to everyone

AFAIK, there is no more OCWP for new students, you only have study permit and can apply for SIN number. then work off campus.

Rule was made for pre-June 2014 cases. Now, there is no need to get it if you have SP with stated work permission on it.

You just need to have a valid study permit and SIN to work off campus :P

Yes, maximum 20hrs/week. But during official school breaks you can work more than that.
