Work hours for international students

Hi,
I am an international student in Canada. if my manager has scheduled me to work 23 hours a week, so like from 14:00-19:15 on Monday and 14:00-22:15 on Thursday and Friday. But I also have a 1-hour break on each day...does that mean I only have 20 hours work time and therefore met the requirement.

Breaks are usually included in your work hours because their are labour laws. Plus you are usually paid for the break. So you are working 23 hours and too many per week.
