Hi all, I am filling up my express entry application and stuck on the work history part.

After my bachelors degree, i started working full time for 2 years, then went for masters, and during my masters i worked 20hours/week (part time job) for 1.5 years, then after graduation i worked fulltime for more than 2 years now. In total, I have 5+ years of experience, however, I am confused because the application is asking for the number of hours/week worked.

Few questions i have hoping someone can help:

1) will they consider my partime job ~8 months of experience vs. 1.5 years?
2) since the part time job came in between my full-time jobs (continuous), will they disregard my previous 2 years experience?
3) If my NOC requires min. bachelors degree and I started work before my bachelors degree by 5 months, will they only calculate my experience starting the day of graduation?

1) Your part-time job will be considered pro rata. CIC considers 30hours/week as full time. So 20 hours/ weeks for 1.5 years is counted as 1 year for points purposes.
2) No.
3) No. The education requirements for the NOC code are not a necessary condition for immigration purposes.

Just be aware that for Canadian work experience, work experience during studies is NOT counted. It is for foreign work experience, which I assume is the case for you?

Hi, thanks for your answers. Yes, all of my experience is in the USA.
