Hi guys,

I'm completing my Express Entry Profile and I'm not sure about my work history.

I started working as a primary school teacher in 2010 (NOC 4032, skill type A) and became a vice principal in a primary school (NOC 0422, skill level 0) in august 2015. I got my principal's certificate in June 2017 and then got registered at the official school leader register in my country. My former school board will confirm in the reference letter that I have been performing all the main duties as a vice principal since 2015, so I do have 3 years of work experience.

However, I'm confused by this:

Date FromFebruary first became qualified to practice in this occupation

If the "primary occupation" is:

  • a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
  • any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)
The NOC description mentions under the employment requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in education is required (I've got a bachelor of education)
  • A master's degree in education may be required. (I've got a master in special education)
  • School principals may require a principal's certificate. (which I didn't have when I started working as a vice principal, but got a year after)
I guess I'm good with stating I have 3 years of working experience as a principal and became officially qualified in 2010 (when getting my bacheror)? I just want to be sure, don't want to take any risk here with misrepresentation o_O

Thanks in advance!
