Work for US company in Canada

is it allowed to work for a US Company from Canada. For example,if my current US employer allows me to work from any Canadian city (it would be more like work from home scenario becaue my employer does not have offices in Canada). Will this be acceptable..

Yeh .......... me too!

I am currently working for a US company as a programmer. I am located in Pakistan and my employer is in US with no physical presence in Pakistan .............. would it add any weight to my application? as I will be going on job (obviously not with any Canadian employer) but I wouldn't be a burden to their economy.

me too. My employer might agree to work from home if I get chance to move to Canada.

Hi,

I guess with no legal presence to your company in Canada, you can still work to it..but as "freelancer" (no tax records)
