Hi friends,

I just received my visa 10 days ago and planned my journey on 6th july.. Now as I am planning to land with my family I have one question regarding smooth settlement..

Being in India I use to work for a US based client as a freelancer, now my question is whether I can continue working with him after landing there in Canada.. If yes what would be the formality that my US client has to takecare at his end..

If the US based company/client offer me fulltime job, will I permitted to accept? (I guess only Citizen allowed..)
Is working for US company/client as freelancer being a canadian PR legal? Whether I can issue any invoice for my service to him in order to get money from him..

Seniors please advice..

There is only one difference between Canadian PR holder and Canadian Citizen...voting rights. Rest rights and obligations are same within the boundries of Canada

You can work for anybody you like in this world from Canada as long as you pay taxes on your earnings !!
The same way as you freelance here in India, nothing changes except that now your US$ would get converted to CAD when you receive it from your client.

If the US based employer has an Office in Canada, yes he can employ you there, if not then you cannot be employed on his US payroll but continue to work as a freelance.

After landing in Canada you can work for anybody you wish as long as you don't do anything illegal like peddle drugs or smuggle weapons into Canada !! ;) ;)
