Hello

What kind of jobs do you know that can be done outside of Canada so that the days to citizenship still count? For example, being present in Europe and still work for Canada and time spent in Europe still will count as days lived in Canada to have 3 out of 5 years to apply for citizenship.

Thanks

Few jobs count. You need to have a job in Canada at a Canadian office and they transfer you to their European office. Remote jobs would not count.

No, this won't count.

Days outside of Canada can only be counted towards citizenship in extremely limited situations. Specifically, you would need to be a Crown servant or your spouse would need to be a Crown servant.

A Crown servant is defined as the following: Person employed in or with the Canadian Armed Forces, the federal public administration or the public service of a province or territory. Crown servants don’t include locally engaged employees (foreign citizens hired in their own countries by the Canadian government to support Canadian offices abroad).

OP is asking about RO for citizenship, not PR.

Most of the jobs that would count usually require you to be a PR or citizen already. Most would require you to be a citizen like UN envoy, diplomatic core worker, arned forces, etc.
