Work Experience.

Hello All,

I have completed my graduation in finance. I have 1 year Pre and 2 year post work experience as a technical support agent in a call center.

"I am applying with primary occupation NOC 2282 - User support technicians & the Employment requirements listed are as below
Completion of a college program in computer science, computer programming or network administration is usually required.
College or other courses in computer programming or network administration are usually required.
Certification or training provided by software vendors may be required by some employers."


But my degree/graduation is in Finance and required degree as per NOC should be computer science. Please advise what should i do..

With the exception of regulated occupations, you can ignore the "Requirements" - degree does not have to match the job.

That is true. Here's a link from the IRCC website that mentions the same thing:

Under Minimum work experience requirement:
"Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description."

Hi, Will CIC count work experience of 1st March 2011 to 2 February 2015 as four years or as 3years, 11 month and 2 days... please advise.
