Hi,

Has anyone had work experience that they cant prove with a reference letter and/or pay stubs?

I'm currently in Canada on a Working Holiday Visa and have over a year's Canadian experience in my current job roll which I can prove as i'm still working for the company. The problem is the company I worked for back in the UK went bankrupted in January. It was the same Job roll as i'm doing now and it does give me more points when I add the UK experience to my profile. I don't have any of my old pay stubs and have tried to get in touch with the company but it was taken over by Deloittle. I managed to get in touch with Deloittle who have provided me with a letter containing all the information they have on me, which is only the dates I started and finished with the company.

My question is do you think this will be sufficient? As the letter doesn't contain what my job roll was, duties and how many hours I worked...

Thanks

Do you have a copy of your P45? If not, have you tried contacting the HMRC to see if they can supply you with a copy?

Hi,

I agree that you should get a record of your P45 from HMRC if you cant find it. Also, if you still have your letter of employment you can attach it.
There is also bankruptcy register held by GOV.UK, you can check if the company name is there and attach a copy of the page with your application or letter of explanation.
