Hello,

I finish my 2 year full time work experience by the end of April.

i work 40 hours per week.
The requirement for full time job should be 30hrs or more per week.

My Express Entry profile already got updated with the points for 2 years (extra 25 points).

So do they calculate the work experience by hours or by the actual months worked?
Do I have to work until the exact date of the month I started working to be able to get the 2 year experience?

CIC goes by the calendar year for full-time work. "30 hours or more" = 40 hours, no difference - it is simply full time, no need to "calculate hours." (Hours are provided for those who work part time, so they can calculate the full-time equivalent).

So if you want credit for two full years, you cannot apply before that. If you submit your profile now, the online system will give you the points, but if you get an ITA before you actually complete the 2 years, your experience will be downgraded to 1 year and you will lose the extra points for the 2nd year (possibly leading to a refusal).

30 hrs or more = 30 hours

Otherwise, exactly what you said

Hello All

I have a similar concern

I started my job in November 2013. When i submitted my Express Entry Profile in March 2015 i got 53 Points which is equal to 2 year experience as now we are in 2016 so my profile should be updated with 3 year experience points which equals 64 points ...Does that mean i have to put an end date under work experience even though i am currently working with the same company and will continue after november 2016 as well..can someone assist me on this

"30 hours or more" could be 30, 40, 50 80, hours per week. They are all equivalent to "full-time work".
