Hello Everyone,

I'm currently gathering all the papers from my previous job.
I have some concerns regarding the proof of work experience letters.

I work in Digital Advertising field, so that would falls under the NOC 1123.
Under 1123 the main duties, not all apply to my duties or some of the duties are worded differently.

Do they need to match the ones that matched here :
- noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=0&val1=1123&ver=11&_ga=1.203047185.1681485121.1487771154

Or does it matter if non of the sentences match as long as the duties are related to advertising?

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Max

Hi Max,

I've discovered that it's very difficult, if not impossible, to get the duties/responsibilities in our actual jobs to match ALL the requirements of NOC.

I've a feeling that it doesn't matter as long as the reference letter includes everything you did at your last/current job. The words don't have to be exact as long as they convey a summary of your responsibilities that somewhat match the NOC.

Also, employers would refuse to write the exact words you need or insist on writing a standard format.

Talk to your manager and figure it out.

Good luck

I'm not really sure what the OP is asking, but just wanted to point out that the duties/responsibilities in the letter should not be identical to the NOC... every company has its own job descriptions, if you copy and paste the duties and responsibilities, IRCC will know it is not genuine, it is sometimes a reason for refusal...
