A few details about the company and the products you handle wouldn't hurt. You have all the required details.

My only concern is that your position looks to be halfway between NOC 1542 and 1225, which leaves the potential for refusal, as NOC 1542 is not eligible. By any chance, do you supervise any other workers (purchasing clerks)? If so, add that to your job description.

Thank you for your suggestion!
I tried to search NOC 1542 but could not find it on cic website, can you please share the duties listed under NOC 1542.
Yes, I did train a new hire in the last month of my job but his position was Accounts and Purchasing Manager. Actually he was going to replace me as my work permit was ending.
What other things can I add to differenciate my NOC from 1542.

Please advise

I think Jes meant 1452

Hi kryt0n!

thank for you feedback!
Do you think that my description can mismatch with the noc code 1225, I used to work for a medical company that sells medical equipments and consummables.
Also ,can you please recommend what else can I add to differentiate my job description from NOC 1452.

Read through the noc code you want and circle key words like "analyse", "hire staff", "inventory management". If you find 10 of those words aim to have at least 6 of them in original or synonym form in your letter.

Hi Kryton,

Please check the job description of Noc 1225. I just wanted to know your opinion as well. Do you also think that my job description does not match with Noc 1225.
Please let me know.

Sorry for the typo, I meant 1524.

Hi. So your job description should match 60% of that particular NOC code. Is that a good rule of thumb?

Friends,

For reference letter, IRCC website says letter should include Job Status(if current job). I m wondering what is job status? Can somebody plz answer?

Thanks

I'm guessing the letter should say "person currently employed"

my previous work exp, from other countries, only say my designation and my start and end dates.. is that good enough ?

but my 1 year of Canadian work exp has my job duties listed..

Not sufficient and can be a reason for rejection as the officer wouldn't be able to confirm that the NOC you've chosen actually matches your duties.

I worked in IT as consultant, and I picked Systems consultant as my NOC..and thats the designation it shows on my employment letter, I worked there years back and now I m in canada, I m not sure wt else I can do at this point of time

What you have to understand is that they don't look at job titles - they look at the NOC that you've chosen and the duties which are stated in your reference letter.

So either try to get a new reference letter OR ask a former colleague/manager to write a self-declaration of your duties and responsibilities and notarize this.
