I recently got my ITA and now in the process of preparing the supporting documents to upload.
One thing I'm really concerned about is proving my work experience. I have previously worked for 2 companies, both of which have limited their operations. The first company I worked at was a renowned company but they got bankrupt and shut down their business and I joined the next company. That too got shut down (still operational but they don't have an office) after the owner of my company passed away. I contacted my boss from the first company and he agreed to write me a reference letter. My concern is what methods will IRCC use to verify the details? The company's website hasn't been updated in a long time and the contact information there is not valid. Same for the second company. The reference letters will have the contact details of my employer and hr manager but that will be different from the information given on the websites. My question is, will it raise any red flags if IRCC decides to verify the information from the company's website?
I was initially tempted to produce a letter from another company which is fully operational where I never worked but I decided not to do it as I want to have a clear conscience.
What should be my strategy now in case the worst thing happens. I have my appointment letter and promotion letter from both the companies. I can also show my bank statements and tax returns. Will that be enough to convince the visa officer? Should I write a letter in advance explaining them my situation or will that create more problems for me?
I'm a very pessimistic person and maybe I'm overthinking.
One more thing to add is, I'm applying from Pakistan. Don't know if that makes any difference.
I would really appreciate if someone can guide me through this process.
