Work experience for CEC while on PGWP but also enrolled in phd for 1 semester

I am in quite a pickle and hoping that some one who has first hand experience of this situation can help.

I got my PGWP in Feb and started full time job in April. But I also enrolled in Phd in summer/spring semester on a valid study permit. I dropped out from Phd in August so I have 4 months where I was working full time on basis of PGWP but also had full time student status. So, would those 4 months count towards 1 year experience required for CEC or since work experience while being a full time student doesn't count so my experience would start from Sept ?

While making the profile, you are supposed to answer the question that if you were a full time student during the work experience you mention.

Generally not possible to hold both a PGWP and study permit at the same time. Were using the study permit you held before applying for your PGWP?
 
You can have both of em. Talked to immigration specialist of uni and he said I could have em both. Also, I got work permit through flag polling and the border agent gave me study permit back cz it was still valid. I was enrolled in Phd while study permit was still valid

When you applied for the PGWP, you applied to change your status from student to worker. The study permit was no longer valid.
 
Let's agree to disagree. Border agent gave me back the study permit cz it was valid for one more year. If one permit becomes invalid, you are asked to surrender that, which has happened in many cases. If you spouse has open work permit and wants to apply for study permit, he/she is asked to surrender the work permit. Happened with a friend of mine
