Hi Fellows,

My Sister want to apply for FSW under the new law as Early Childhood educator (4214). The Problem is my sister undergraduate degree is in Marketing however she has a real legitimate experience in ECE for 8 years. She never worked in Marketing and all what she did was ECE.

Is there any problem in that?

Please help.

Thanks,

Does your sister have the Employment Requirements as specified on the 4214 NOC page. If yes, then I think it would be OK. From the website it seems that you need some college studies in child development or education. If no, then even though she has experience I don't think they would consider her qualified.

Hi
I saw your reply and have a similar situation , my wife has a degree in education even confirmed by WES and has more than 8 years of experience in teaching elementary classes .So is she eligible under Early Childhood Teachers category

Thanks

hi, I had the same situation as you guys have mentioned. It does not matter at all unless the profession you are applying requires any professional certification/degree. the only draw back in this situation is that you might be called for an interview which also not a big thing. tell them to apply with open hearts as it does not cause any problem.
