Guys,

I am preparing my documents to submit with my OOPNP application.

However, regarding work experience i am in a dilema;

When i started my job in Aug 2010, i had no plans to go for MS degree.
I started working as electrical from Aug 2010 and worked till Aug 2011. In mean time, i applied for MS in belgium and prepared my documents.
I discussed my situation with my manager and told him about my plans to go for MS.
He was kind enough to let me go for NON-PAID OFFICIAL HOLIDAYS to pursue my MS and when i complete my MS, i should return back to pakistan to work with same company.

So in Sep 2011, I went to Belgium for MS and I got back to pakistan after completing my MS in Sep 2014. So in short, my MS was from Sep 2011-Sep2014.
When i got back to pakistan at end of Sep 2014, i again joined the same organization on same post and resumed my work in Oct 2014 and i am working till today i.e. on job till now.

So in summary,

Job: Aug 2010-Aug 2011
MS: Sep 2011-Sep 2014 (On Official Unpaid holidays to complete my MS from Belgium)
Job: Oct 2014 - Till Today

Now i have to ask my manager to write me experience letters. My questions are

1. Should i make two separate reference letters with similar job duties and same position but with just change of working period ?

2. Should i make just one reference letter mentioning my working periods and highlighting my un-official paid leave for MS ?

Any other suggestions in my situation are highly welcome and appreciated.

Seniors, Please help me .

Thank you

Option 2. But you do know that in total you'll have just shy of 2 years work experience as the duration when you were on unpaid leave wouldn't count towards your work experience.

Thanks for your reply :)

Can you also tell me that should i mention the official unpaid leave on my reference letter or should i get another letter on company letter pad with my manager signatures mentioning the duration of un-paid official leave and i attach an LOE from myself indicating the details ?

Btw... In my EE application, i have omitted this un-paid official leave from work experience but rest of all other things are same for both working periods.

It'll be better to write it on the same reference letter.
