Hello,

I am filling "Determine your Eligibility" for express entry. In that, there is a question:

In the last three years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have in Canada? It must have been full-time (or an equal amount in part time).

For my case, I have been working in Canada on a closed work permit since September 2014 (i.e. more than one year). My work is full time and I am sure I will get experience letter from my employer for it but I am paid in Indian Salary. So what should I answer for this question?

This question directly affects the points. If i select "None" then the score comes to 379 else if I put 1 year than total comes to 457.

I have a total of 7 years of work experience. I don't have a valid job offer in Canada yet, but have been working in Canada on a valid closed work permit (paid in Indian salary).
My IELTS score:
Speaking: 6.5
Writing: 7.5
Listening : 7.5
Reading : 7.0

Please help.

Regards!

hi anurag,

they should give you T4 so that you know how much tax you have to pay. and they have to generate pay stub which shows your salary in canadaian $$ and pay cheques which you have to deposit in canadian bank account.

then once tax is payed then you can file for tax return.

and note that for submitting tax return for 2014 you already missed the deadline. so you have to file for adjustment.

so your case looks complicated.

better you dont submit your pr for this ITA. and first handle all this things.

As per the rule, If a foreign employer exceeds 183 days of his/her stay, then and only then employer will file Tax return for them.
For my case, for 2014, I didn't exceed 183 days so my employer didn't filed tax return. But for 2015, tax will be filed.

If my employer files tax for 2015, will the option of selecting 1 year is right? (Under In the last three years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have in Canada? It must have been full-time (or an equal amount in part time. )

Thank you
