Hi guys,
I am planning to apply under 2131. I have got a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. My work experience certificate says my designation as Junior civil engineer. But the job duties match that of 2131. Will this certificate be fine?

Your work exp letter must list your duties and just not say "Junior Civil Engineer". My advise is that CIC people will get applications for all occupations. Providing such details wherever possible will make our case easy to process. Else the person has to look up the code, try to figure out the duties and wonder if you have done them etc..

Hi,

Your work experience certificate should mention your exact & full Job Title (as per your appointment letter), Duration in that position and the duties that you have performed in that position. It is VERY important to match the job duties as mentioned in the CIC web site. It is not compolsury to match the Job title as it may vary from country to country & company to company.

Wish you good luck.

In addition to the above, your work exp letter should also mention your salary in that position.

If u have copies role and duties exactly as per NOC duties, u will be rejected

Yes you should never copy them exactly, they should be similar but not same/exact.

Hello guys,

I have a question about my experience letter, i keep on asking it and i can't get an answer actually!

I have an Architecture Degree, but my current job is "Construction Engineer", which is included in NOC 2131, my problem is that in my experience letter for my current job, the job duties listed there are not all included in NOC 2131 main duties, but in another NOC (which is 0711 - Construction Managers)...

my question is, if i have only 3 out of 7 main duties mentioned in my experience letter belongs to the eligible NOC and the rest belongs to an illegible NOC, will this have any effect on my application, taking into consideration that my job title belongs to the eligible NOC 2131!

Thanks for all your replies. I have the letter with the job duties in it which match the noc job duties. The only thing I am worried about is the designation.

Hi Freebird,

Since NOC 0711 is not in the eligible occupation list, you have no other option but to apply under NOC 2131. However, if you are doing only couple of main duties listed under 2131, it makes your application weeker. But I would suggest you to apply because CIC might consider your application - its entirely upon them.

Good luck to you!
