Withdrawn spousal application/ reapply

Was wondering if I can receive some advice about my husbands spousal pr application.
We applied and they received application March 6 2019. Biometrics and medical was done for him and his daughter. Etc etc. They requested Pr Fee we paid it.
But I recently went to go see my husband in October and we had a situation where he threw something at me and it hit me in my eye. This also resulted in me taking a leave from work because I couldn’t go to work with my eye like that. In result I withdrew his application. Plus my family members sent numerous letters to immigration to have it cancelled.
But we talked it out recently and we talked to our pastor and we want to work on things and move pass this. Plus I am pregnant now too.

Here are my questions
1. Do you think the next application I send in will be harder to be approved( I was thinking to send in support letters last time we sent in two but this time I’m thinking to send in five.

2. Does he need to redo his police check if he did it December 2018.

Not sure about 1. But yes he will need to redo police check. It's been over a year.
And if he has any file on domestic abuse, it will be hard for him to be sponsored.

They will look at the next application with more scrutiny, but from the married is genuine u will have nothing to fear,
He'll have to redo the police certificate it only valid 6 months to one year the most.

On note sponsorship of a person is very serious so it best if u having problems in your relationship take your time and think about it, so you don't do anything u would want to take back, an it alway best to keep family out of your issue u having with your partner no judgement.

There could definitely be more scrutiny, particularly if others informed IRCC. IRCC doesn't want to bring in abusers.

Was he arrested or convicted for hurting you?

Please take your time before sponsoring him. Being pregnant is not a reason to reunite with an abuser and I am very disappointed to see a pastor recommending that a woman return to her abuser. Once an abuser always an abuser. I would delay sponsorship until you have had time to reflect not based on your pastor’s recommendation. Please talk to a counsellor or the family members who sent in letters. They seem to have your best interest at heart
