Hi everyone, I am looking to possibly withdraw from my application.... Anyone have any information on how it works or how long it takes?.... thank you

Fax a letter to the office dealing with your application. I see you are Inland, but your file was transferred to a local office? If so, send a letter to the office, clearly explaining the circumstances of your withdrawal and ask them to cease processing your file. Ensure you enclose details such as the file number, full names and dates of birth of sponsor and applicant and correct home address and contact numbers. It may take some time for their response, but you should likely have one at least within 30 days, depending on how busy the office is.

thank you for your response, another question though, if I withdraw, will it stay on my file that i have applied once before? or does everything get cleared? Im thinking of applying outland..

If that is the reason for withdrawing, state it clearly. Yes, they will have access to the FOSS notes at the embassy and will see that you had a previous application that was withdrawn.
