Withdrawal of refugee application

Hi!Can anyone let me know that if I want to withdraw my refugee application,when is the suitable time to do that?Till the time I won't get citizenship,can I withdraw my application whenever I want to?Will Canada take a strict action against me?Will there be serious consequences which I have to face?Please help me with all the queries if you can.

1. Before the hearing starts, after the hearing starts then it is too late, as the IRB will make a decision on the evidence heard.
2. You withdraw, the removal order becomes effective, and you will have to leave Canada.
