Withdraw PR Card Renewal application after PR Card pickup notification received

1, Can I withdraw my PR Card Renewal application after I have received the PR Card pickup notification? ( I didn't pick up the PR card)

2, what will possibly happen if I tell the CIC I made an error on the application as the reason of withdrawal?
