here is my story i need some wise opinion,
my family lives in canada mississauga my big brother sponsored my parents & me but my age at that was above 25 yrs so he took my case withdrawn then back in may 2007 i applied myself in FSW class ( that case is in progress) from ISB embassy PAK,then i got some job in Abu dhabi and i got here in 2008aug since then i was here i applied to visit my family in canada in sep 2009 that did not approved by them.
then came this month my parents in canada do my engagemnet with a girl from pakistani family also living in canada and as she is studying in college our families planned to have Nikkah in Jan 2011 as she can come for only 10 days becoz of her exams & eduaction schedule.
And i will go from Abu dhabi to pakistan to have this Nikkah (only) done.
my questions are

1. Should i withdarw my earlier case for FSW applied in 2007 becasue my category would changed?
2.She is just studying and is PR of canada is there any problems in becoming my sponsor?
3. we dont in our pakistani families have the tradition to talk with each other b4 marriage?
4. Should we apply after getting the Nikkah papers or this would be enough to satisfy CHC?

5. She would stay only for 10 days?

I need these qusetions answers so i will plan b4 time to apply in good manner so they CHC will not refuse us.

Thanks

I am by far not an expert on Pakistani marriages/weddings, but I do know of a person on here that was having an issue with CIC deciding it was not a genuine relationship because they ONLY had done the Nikkah and were waiting for the Rukhsati til she got her PR.

With your long history of trying to get into Canada, the Immigration Officer is probably going to be suspicious about this marriage. Luckily you are not planning on doing the Nikkah until January 2011, so that gives you time to maintain correspondence as much as possible through emails and phone calls. Though I understand that may not be traditional in your culture to have that much contact prior to marriage it might help to at least have conversations about each others lives and some expectations you each have.

1) I wouldn't withdraw until your status actually changed. There are things out of your control that could happen between now and January 2011. Plus your application has been in for quite a long time, you're at least halfway through the processing time, right?

2)as long as she remains living in Canada she can sponsor you.

5) As long as all the ceremony and everything is done in those 10 days it will probably be ok. you'll have to explain why she didn't stay longer, though.

hope that helps!

Search the threads here just a day or two ago there was a thread posted by a woman who did just that and they were refused. The did the Nikkah and then he came back home just after 10 days. ill see if i can locate the thread for you.

Herew is her thread to look over.http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t47984.0.html;msg356344#msg356344

Now to answer your questions
1. It is up to you if you withdraw your present app.Your status wont change till Jan.
2.There is no income requirement for spouses.
3.Even if it is not in your tradition you need to communicate on some level with her they will ask for this.
4. now applying after you get your Nikkah papers and her leaving 10 days after this is where you need to read the thread i gave you the link to.
