Hi guys,

I am wondering if anyone knows the processing times for Winnipeg.
I know a few years ago, Winnipeg was very slow and just wondering if this is still so, or has it improved?

Thanks,

It has improved, but it is still slow compared to other places. At the end of 2013, 2011 applicants were getting the test, by late 2014, they were calling early 2013 applicants for the test. Things might have improved even more since then, but the 'Peg is typically not one of the faster offices.

Yes that is a bit disheartening... I will send my app in October, and was hoping for a reasonably swift process, having barely been out of the country 180 days in the last 6 years...

Cheers
H.

One of my coworker applied in Winnipeg in Nov 2014 and just got his citizenship late August 2016. My 4 years was up in August but I'm giving it another 4 months and apply before christmas. But I'm not optimistic about Winnipeg office like everything else that's frozen and slow in Manitoba, this citizenship would take longer than anywhere else.

It has improved. Still not the fastest but at least there's an improvement. My sister's application took almost two years from submission to oath. She applied around 2011 or 2012 I think. I'm just not sure if her previous work in the middle east was a factor in the delay of the processing of her application.

My brother's application took around 7 months from submission of docs to oath. Two of my friends also took their oath 8-10 months after submission. They all applied in 2015.

I know of routine applications in Winnipeg that took over 3 years in the early 2013- early 2016 period. But if people are getting the oath now in about 7 to 10 months, that is a dramatic improvement over where it was.

It's been 4 weeks since DM no sign of oath letter. What the hell this idiot WPG office is doing is beyond belief.
