I'm from Winterplague. I hate Winnipeg, everything in this town sucks, everything is slow and bad, bad, bad.

Haha I agree. Lived in Winnipeg myself dead cold and boring.

i agree winnipeg is terrible but u dint naswer my questions quys is any one applied for citiznship in winnipeg oct 2012 and still waiting?

We applied Feb 2013, Got Rq and sent back Jan 2014. 8 Months have passed since they received it and according to call centre they have not looked at it. Probably in the box un-opened. It is frustrating.

I don't live in Winnipeg per say but live in Manitoba and I truly love it here. Sure is better than where I came from.

Friend of mine applied in July 2012, and got RQ on Jan 2013. He got test Invitation on Sep 10th, 2014..

I think we should raise this issue with Winnipeg MPs. If you cannot visit their offices send them e-mail or give them a call.

Did anyone of you tried to send e-mail to MPs or wait for ever, come on folks, Winnipeg is left behind make yourself heard.

If you don't like winnipeg, then you are free to leave...

Just sayin.. Nobody is forcing you to stay here...

Winnipeg is one of the worst offices in the country. I know someone who waited 26 months for the test on a routine application. Good luck if you are a "non-routine" case. I don't know why such delays are considered acceptable. Still, it seems most applicants just sit back and take it. If everyone got on the phone, email, post, etc. and complained to their MPs, complained to the provincial Minister of Labour and Immigration, etc. maybe there would be some action.

My sympathies to all of you who are being processed from the Winnipeg office

I have applied from Manitoba, hope it is fast for every one in Manitoba and every other office so that we can vote in the coming elections, :)

Easier said than done. Everyone (Well, at least most people I guess) who lives in Winnipeg has something that ties them to there, like nice jobs, families, affordable housing etc. I mean, there must be something to make them endure the tough weather, as most people don't like tough weather...

So it's not like they can suddenly leave what ties them there for another city...
