It would as the article I read also pointed a delay in IRCC functioning.
I read the article but it didn't state draws, it stated:
  • processing applications
  • in-person appointments or events including citizenship ceremonies
  • contacting IRCC via email, phone or social media
  • consular citizenship and passport services
  • passport services in Canada.
No mention of draws. I feels draws will continue but processing will stop. Have you heard any latest news about the strike?

Yes something like that. This is the recent one I found:

I'm at 494. Hoping to get the next draw. Created my account yesterday. What do you think the next cutoff will be and when could the next draw happen? Praying next week
No one can really predict IRCC…even with the strike it’s not super consistent. With that being said 494 is a good score you should get your ITA in the next draw which likely will happen in 2 weeks.

Thanks, my previous application was rejected on Wednesday due police report dated 2 days b4 I left the country. It's really devastating, I've made contact to revise the date on the police report, will have it b4 the next draw. Now hoping the draws happens
Ahhhhh that really sucks. Luckily your score is high enough, it’s only a matter of time!

Same here bro, I was devastated. My ielts expires in June of this year. I was worried that the strike could cause a pause in draws, I didn't want to rewrite the ielts.
