if you get a baby after you get PR while you are still in your country, then decide to come to Canada immediately , what is the case with the baby who still has no PR? Can he come just because his parents have PR? Will he be allowed to enter Canada?

Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,

I don't think your baby will enter Canada just coz the parents have PR. I think what might happen is you will have to apply for PR for your baby before he enters Canada.

This is my own reasoning, wait let someone else give another view.

Good Luck

It depends on if you are already a PR that you have come to Canada and landed as a PR or if you just have a PR visa and haven't landed yet.

If you are already a PR, you've already landed, then came back to your homeland and had a baby there, you need to sponsor the baby for PR. You have to be in Canada to do this. If you come from a country that is visa exempt, bring the baby with you to Canada and file for sponsorship. If you come from a country that is not visa exempt, you have to go to the embassy and apply for a visa for the baby to go to Canada with you so you can file for sponsorship.

If you are not already a PR, you have applied for PR and are waiting or you already have the PR visa but you didn't land yet and have a new baby in the meantime, do NOT go to Canada without first contacting the embassy about adding the baby to your file. If you go to Canada and land as a PR without adding the baby to your file, you will not be able to sponsor this baby in the future.
