Hey Guys,

I am a landed immigrant (with PR) and I recently got married. Now I still haven't settled in Canada and am back to my job in UAE. I want to file PR for my wife (I can sponsor her at a later stage too), but I wish to complete the formalities beforehand.

When I am creating her profile, there are a few questions like "Is your spouse a PR/Citizen of Canada"- answer is obviously "yes". Next question is "Is your spouse accompanying you to Canada?"

What should I answer to this? considering that I am already a PR.

Kindly reply.

That question would be a NO. You would already be a PR and you are not a dependent. Hence, it should be a NO.

Congratulations on getting married :)

When you last posted, I think your fiancée had been approved for a TRV and she had accompanied you. Hopefully, you were not already married when you did your PR landing formalities

Haha, no we were not married until then. We came back and got married this 11th (Court).
