500 is EE only, 500 more for Occupation in demand. total SINP quota announced is 9050 for 2016. Less in 2015

1000 non-job or experienced based PNP program is pretty good.

You just need to complete a full form before it opens. And if you apply for EE category, you might have 5 days to get the position, while if you apply for no-Job category, you might be given 10 hours to get the position.

So be careful and check website weekly at least.

They might open again this year but it will depend on the province's needs and quota.
It might also be a factor if previous intake applicants has a number of returned or ineligible applications.
If they dont get enough applications (due to ineligibility eg. lack of documents required) they will reopen it again and again until it hits their targets.

Election is on 19 April.
According to my agent. He also says that most provinces will announce their quotas or new policies after the elections. Its his expectation. Not a confirm news.
