my bf and I had broken up after being common law. We changed our marital status with CRA to single and the effective date on Cra is the 15th of April 2023, but we errored and the date should have been the 13th of April.

we are back together and hoping to do spousal sponsorship. Will this affect the application?

100% will affect you in a negative way. You gotta get that back to common law with CRA !

We have since changed it back to common law with the Cra after being common law again. I’m just wondering if the separation date will be an issue. It’s the 13th but we had put it as the 15th with CRA.

Any reason to not just get married? Then you don’t have to worry about this

2 days will not be an issue although you will need to show 1 continuous year of living together to be common law and explain you did separate for a period of time.
