Will ordering CAIPS delay my case further?

I wish to order CAIPS notes to know what is happening in my case? But before ordering, i wish to make sure whether it can adversely affect the processing of my application, ie, will it cause further delay? If i order CAIPS notes, will the IO dealing with my case come to know about that?

Could anybody suggest a good, secure website where i can order the CAIPS notes? Which one is efficient in dealing with my request. Thank you very much in advance...

Hi,

Of course the Visa office concerned will get information about your CAIPS request. But it will never affect your application processing any way. So, do not worry at all about any probable delay due to this reason. Go ahead if you need CAIPS. good luck!!.

There'll be no adverse effects.

1. CAIPS is independent from the CHC. It comes from Ottawa & the CHC is not aware of it. Thus, no worry with the IO.
2. Even if the IO does know, it doesn't matter. It's as per the 'Right to Information Act'.
3. All modes of getting one, as opined before, r fine. U may also log on to www.caips.ca. Costs: $40.00.
4. If u have a friend in Canada, he'll get u in $5.00. If u r thru an agent, he'll get u for Free [usually they don't charge u the $5].

Thank you all for your kind responses. I am planning to order it tomorrow. I have already gone through caipsnotes.com and got familiarised with the procedure.

I thought it is a good idea to order CAIPS, because in case they call me for an interview, the CAIPS notes would be very helpful to better prepare for the interview. I am just doing everything i can to get maximum information about what is happening in my application. This wait and uncertainty is killing.

Hey

I do not understand why it takes that long ( 4-5 weeks) to get CAIPS.

I ordered CAIPS Dec 27, 2009. They said I should get CAIPS around 1 Feb 2010. During this month, many things happen (ie. sent medicals, PCC, RPRF). Will all these changes be shown on my CAIPS?

4 weeks is standard. Perhaps due to X- mas & New Year holidays, there could be backlog, which increases the time to further one or two weeks.
