Will my report card affect my student visa extension?

I'm 17 years old attending international high school. I moved to Canada last year. However I failed some courses. And my agency said that I might not be able to extend my student visa because of my bad grades. I felt nervous so I asked to the visa manager and he said that my report card is unnecessary so I don't have to submit it. But I heard some officers might ask for my report card. Will it affect my student visa extension?

If you need to extend your study permit to repeat high school courses when you were supposed to graduate it would be pretty obvious that something was preventing your graduation.
