Hi,

Situation:
-Entitled to 36 month(3 year) PGSWP as of August 2015, but only received it until April 2017(Due to passport expiry date). I understand that I just need to extend it(and pay another $255) to get the full length until August 2018. (Note, my passport has now been renewed until 2021)

However, I have 464 pts and will soon have 494 pts under Express Entry, so hopefully it is likely that I will get an ITA soon. In that case, will there even be any point in me extending my PGSWP? OR will I just end up applying for a BOWP instead? Is there a functional difference(I assume BOWP costs money too).

Just trying to figure out if I can avoid any extra hassle(Flagpoling isn't a big deal, since im only 45 minutes away from the border), and a bit of money. Mostly just want to avoid duplicate work.

Any thoughts or insights?

Links appreciated if appropriate.

Thanks!

renew passport first ;D

thats gud..remember to change ur PP details in EE profile

i go with extending PGWP...since ur just extending because of expired PP... n continue ur job or whatever doing here in Canada

while BOWP is conditional depends on PR application passed specific stage A10 review (close to 3-4 months)

Okay, so it seems that even if i receive an ITA from EE, that it would be necessary to extend PGSWP due to needing status to keep working and staying here?

It seems like the easiest thing to do, so i'll very likely do it - just kind of annoyed that i need to pay the $255 again just to extend the date...Oh well that is life :)

:D :D
u r right bro
thats life ...we learn more small mistake :)
