I completed my b.tech in computer engg. in May 2008 . But I am no longer interested in computer science so I am planning to study Environmental Science at master level in Canada. I would like to know will it create any problem in getting Canada study visa. I would also like to tell that I have 1 year gap after my b.tech.

Hi,

Its not going to be a problem but u will just have to explain them why you had a 1 yr gap and what you did in that time and why you want to start studies again especially in Canada. And as long as your reasons are geniune its not going to be hard to get a student visa assuming you fulfill other requirements.
