Hi everyone, When I return to Canada after 8 yrs, I am thinking of working for Walmart. I have heard that it's very difficult to find a job in your "field" with your qualifications. Someone advised me to find any job at first and then when a better job becomes available I can work my way up to the desired position. I have my Bachelors of Education and Bachelors of fine Arts from Ontario Canada. I have decided to work as a sales clerk because I will be starting a family when I return to Canada. I can not work for an office position because most office jobs look for an employee who will not be thinking of having a baby right away since they offer maternity leave to employees who have worked for a longer period. Anyways, I was wondering is it easy to find a job in Walmart? My friends in Ontario have told me that its competitive even in Walmart! I did fill in an application years ago and I do remember they never called me for an interview. It may be because they didn't have a position that needed to be filled.
Does anyone have experience with walmart?
1) Is it easy to find a job if you are available to work all seven days a week (flexible to work anytime)?
2) how much do they pay an employee with little or no experience?
3) What do they look for in an interview?
Thank you in advance.
