Hello folks,

Tomorrow 3rd reading in the senate, so its no secret, now that the bill will pass before summer.

The point is, will 2014 applications (January 2014 to June 2014) will be returned or not ?

Will "Intent to Reside" will be added in the new CIC form, or we have to sign during the Oath ceremony ?

No, CIC will not return the applications already received or will receive even a day before the bill will come to a law. Received applications will continue to be processed under the present law. "Intent to Reside" clause is not applicable under the present law.

What about " Intend to Reside"?

Will they include in CIC citizenship form or during oath ceremony?

Our applications have already reached and started to process?

None of us really know if the "intend to reside" clause will be brought in for current applicants. Most seem to think it's unlikely, but it's possible that before being granted Citizenship you could be asked to make a simple declaration that you "intends, if granted citizenship, (i) to continue to reside in Canada,".
