Will asking abt my application status delay the process?

Hi everyone,
I filed my application on 24 nov 2009 and recieved aor on 5 jan 2009 stating my application is been forwarded to nova scotia for further assesment.My noc is in the list.I in that letter they clearly said that determination to eligibility will be made in 4 months time of aor letter date which is going to be over in next 8 days.should I write them now about my application status or should i wait more?Will it delay my process?

Some visa office will advice you that this will delay you process. It depends on where you are applying from. But any way, there's is no harm in trial. ask them about your status or you can as well wait for a considerate time before doing so.

What is your application status shows on cic website? They usually have timeliness given there for each region, so maybe you can guess from there how long it might take. Though this time it should be a lot faster because of changes in immigration process
