Will applying for study permit again due to change in DLI cancel the first one?

Hello.

i’ve already got my study permit approved and have my visa stamped as well & planning to travel in mid dec. But now I’ve got admission from a better institute and thinking to switch, but as per ircc’s rules I will have to apply for study permit again from outside canada.

So if I go ahead for a new study permit application, will my first study permit be cancelled if I get rejection in the new application? As I dont want to take risk of shutting doors to going to Canada completely.

Correct. Your study permit will be cancelled soon as they start processing your new application. If you are rejected, you wont be able to use previous SP since it is invalid
