Hi All,
In June 2018, I was involved in a car accident in NYC for which I wasnt at fault. I have a police report which also says the same. Basically I had to abruptly stop because the vehicle in front of me stopped. However, the vehicle behind me did not stop in time and rear ended me so hard that I rear ended the vehicle in front of me.
Now the car owner in front of me has filed a Civil case against me in a civil court in NYC and I just received the summons yesterday. The police report as well my auto insurance both say that I am not at fault and the vehicle behind me was at fault. I will be assigned an attorney by my auto insurance.
Will this summons or anything arising out of it affect my Canada PR application which is in IP1 right now?
