Wife residing in USA, does she needs to give ielts?? need advise urgently!!!

Dear All,

I recently got engaged since applied in express entry now needed to update the status in express entry profile. I just needed to know does she has to give ielts or any other procedure available??

If she is applying as a co-applicant it is beneficial to get your fiance to do the following:

1) Get a language test
2) Get her non Canadian Educational Credentials evaluated (if applicable)

By the way is she your wife (or your fiance)? The body of your post implies 'Fiance', but the title implies 'Wife'. Ensure you enter the right information in the EE profile. These 2 things will help increase your score (if you are applying together).

CIC does not recognize a fiancé in an application. She would have to be married to you or you would have to prove you were living TOGETHER in a common law relationship for at least one year.
Once she is legally your spouse, she will have to get IELTS and WES evaluation in order to add points to your joint application. She can certainly obtain these results before getting married but she cannot be included in your application until your marriage/common law status.
