Wife from U.S. How to Apply for visitor extension? What is needed?

Hi.

Wife from the United States and is in Canada. 6 months would be around end of July. Applied Outland in March. Haven't received AOR or anything. Americans doen't need visas and internet seams to talk about visa extensions. How do you do a visitor extension for a United States citizen? What is needed for the application? They didn't stamp her passport or anything at land border crossing when she came.
