I have read numerous comments about how when you are entering Canada for the first time to be a student, you can't show any intention of staying in Canada after finishing studying.
Why is that? Canada is a country of immigrants (and First Nations of course) and international students are one of the most valuable groups to Canada's society and economy. Even the Liberal party made it easier for international students to immigrate.
It would makes sense that temporary visitors (especially ones with relatives in Canada) can't show intentions of staying in Canada, but international students? That's bizarre! Would love to be educated on this.
