Why do they ask for children information when submitting CTNship application?

Hey All,

Why do CIC require all the children information under the age of 18 years when one parent is applying for citizenship? There are a lot of children and a lot of different schools attended. What is the reason for this?

It helps to prove that you have in fact been living in Canada and meet the physical residency requirement for citizenship.
