why did ircc mistake my spousal sponsorship for inland instead of overseas?

I (sponsor) live in Canada, trying to sponsor my wife (lives overseas) I got an email from IRCC saying they returned my application : "Our office processes Family Class Sponsorship applications where the Principal Applicant resides In Canada. It appears that as per your information declared on your undertaking you have sent your application to our office in error as per document(s) reviewed below
 Document Checklist  IMM1344  IMM008  IMM5669"

The only thing I can point to is my mailing address was set as a Canadian address (I want to get any updates on my mail) while the residential address
is overseas

I read online this is a common mistake, any thoughts?

Do you have representative or you send it yourself i got the same thing in april if they return your file they send email like that to everyone.

There is a question asked when initiating a PR case on the portal: Are you applying under? It appears that you may have chosen "Family class (Inside Canada)" instead of the "Family class (Outside Canada)" option.

Log in to the portal and click on the "View" button. This will allow you to review the selection you made for your application

If that's the issue then initiate a new case with the correct selection, fill and upload the forms again.

Hi i did the outland class i checked everything
Last april i got the same email too that time i found my rep use all the forms pdf is that the reason i still do not know that reason. I reapplied through new rep online hope i got aor soon.

I can't definitively say that this is the exact reason for the file being sent back, but I do know someone else who encountered a similar situation and eventually determined that the problem was related to their selection.
