Just wondering to pass time.

Why can't CIC ask us to put a bar code on the envelope which contains only the email address.

So once CIC-M receives our application, it automatically scans that bar code and fires of an email?

Then I don't have to wait 90 days just to know that they "actually" have the application kit let alone that I have been approved as a sponsor.

when you send them the application ask for signature request, sure costs $15-20 bucks, but gives u peace of mind that they at least got it. that's what i did.

Yea I didn't even think about doing that. I guess I should have.

But it would be also good when they transfer the file as well.

when the transfer, it takes about 2/3 weeks i have been told (for pak atleast)... and often is the case that if u track something to pak, you will get all the tracking info till it leaves canada... after that ur relative or wherever u sent it, will prob confirm with u of its arrival before u get an update. for example i sent my wife chocolates by air, all tracking was done pretty fast and accurate to the point it got shipped off on the plane to pakistan... but after that my wife told me thanks for the chocolates before the tracking was completed on the pakistan end of it.

That is a brilliant idea! :D being a government agency, I can see it taking several years to develop and millions of dollars... but still a good idea

to be frank, its nothing but money making... we shouldn't be paying fee's etc if they are to take eternity on the cases... if it took around 4-6 months, understandable, anything more than that, we shouldnt be paying a single penny... but then again they are not obliged to give citizenship to our spouses, so kinda catch 22, sit and wait i suppose for all of us...
