Those applicants who applied for a study permit (SDS) in the months of March, April, May, June, July last year are still waiting for visas while those who have applied in Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec are getting visas for January intake. The fall intake students have completed one sem and are into their second semester without a visa. It is really difficult to comprehend what IRCC is doing. Anyone knows the reason behind this. Is there any technical problem with IRCC? Why are they prioritizing Winter files before Fall files.

i understand your frustration.. per my analyses, fall files will receive their requests/decisions starting next week. Lets hope for the best, one week is the matter of time now.

they almost reviewed all the winter files and decision/requests some how made and they will clear the winter backlogs this week mostly and start old files by next week. Summer will be started in March... hope it gives you some positive insights.

Fun fact may profiles are also being processed. One of my friend got approved in 10 days! Bruh

Files are always processed based on the application dates as quoted by an IRCC rep during a webinar session held last year. Non-SDS files receive faster decisions due to COVID-19 processing technicalities.

Suggest people to follow information from legit sources rather than personal opinions or speculations received by newcomers on this forum.

A lot of September 2020 files haven't been processed yet, myself including a few others have just gotten our medicals updated. Eligibility also hasn't started.
