Who updates ECAS after sponsorship approval?

We received SA a couple of weeks ago and I've just noticed that the applicant's ECAS has been updated to "medical results received". Does this means that the file is already being processed at the foreign visa office? We have not received AOR from Paris yet. Who updates ECAS after sponsorship approval? Is it Mississauga?

yes missisauga updates after approval of sponsor, and if you mailed in your medical receipt then that will be included in update too. The follow up updates will be made by processing office, NB. some officers do not bother to update ECAS after each process, and on the specific dates of them going through your file so just be patient when dealing with ecas.
