I came to Canada in 2014, my husband came to Canada in 2011. We married before my husband came to Canada.

1. In the application instruction, the sponsor needs to provide tax certificates of 2013, 2014 and 2015. But I came to Canada in 2014, I don’t have tax certificate of 2013. Could I sponsor my parents in 2017, with my husband co-sign?

2. If I cannot be the sponsor for my parents, could my husband be the sponsor of my parents (his parents-in-law)? My husband has all these years’ tax certificates.

Looking forwards to some ideas, thank you!!! :)

1. Yes - you can sponsor with your husband as a co-signer provided your Canadian tax returns meet the low income cut off for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
2. No - he cannot sponsor them. He can only co-sign.
