As I have offer from UOttawa and Concordia both,, I am choosing Concordia as because of its location in Montreal and many other factors

Re: Which University to apply for Masters ?

I have just completed B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and am interested in pursuing the Masters in Computer Science . I am going to give the IELTS exam soon . From the practice tests my results seem to be in the range of 7.0 to 7.5 . My other results are :
Class X : 84%
Class XII : 88%
B.Tech : 76%(upto 7th sem)
I am searching for Universities that do not require a GRE

While registering for IELTS I have to select 5 Universities and I have shortlisted a few :

University of Western Ontario
Concordia University
University of Manitoba
University of Regina
SFU
University of Calgary
Carleton University
University of Saskatchewan
Acadia university
UBC

According to my results which Universities should I apply for Masters ? Please help me . Thank You .

i hav been admited in uni of calgary in M.Eng ...how good is this uni comparing it with ottawa concordia etc :s

Hi,
you should go for following five (personal picks):

UBC
Concordia university (comprehensive ranking is high)
Carleton University
Uni of calgary (good for energy sector)
Uni of Manitoba (decent: heard about it, research more abt it)

Pls do share & update here about your current status of your applications.

uOttawa & Concordia uni both are very good universities in terms of rankings uOttawa slightly having an edge over concordia. Uni of Calgary is good in terms of jobs & immigration if you want a job related to energy sector. Alberta is oil & gas hub with lots of opportunities for mechanical, piping, design & all kinda oil & gas related courses.

Hi Nivesh. I have PM my mail id. Pls check it.

I have accepted the offer from uOttawa and waiting for a reply from them regarding assigning of an official uottawa mail id. Yesterday i did check the rabaska but there was an error. So may be we should call the graduate reception for guidance. text me your no.
